Stephen has over 23 years
achievement working in both public and private sectors on a range of
knowledge and information management projects. He has a background in
Information Management systems (EDRM, ECM), enterprise search solutions
and the application of learning and shared knowledge techniques through
Communities of Practice. Stephen has completed several major Knowledge
and Information Management projects for blue chip clients, UK Gov and
local government.
He has recently delivered a 3-year KM Strategy for
local government at the Improvement & Development Agency (www.idea.gov.uk)
which will enable peer learning and knowledge sharing through
Communities of Practice and social computing tools. He has also
delivered Europe’s largest enterprise search engine for the Dept. for
Work and Pensions, advised the Cabinet Office on deployment of
Electronic Libraries and was lead Information Architect for the DTI’s
records management system.
Stephen spent 9
years in the Royal Navy before joining Sperry as a computer engineer. He
joined Reuters in 1983 where he specialised in data management and
quality control, completing a BSc in Information Systems in 1991.
Stephen left Reuters in 1999 to set up his own company – Semantix,
specialising in knowledge and information management solutions. |
