John Jackson is a Principal Consultant with Gov3 and has recently completed a project with Gov3 in the Middle East.  Formerly a CEO of Cable and Wireless, he is an energetic leader with extensive general management experience derived in public and private sectors at board level in the UK and internationally.  John first worked with Managing Partners Bill Edwards and Chris Parker in early 2003 on the Directgov programme and returned to it in 2004. He has also worked extensively with government and government agencies in Italy.

John spent 15 years with BG in the oil and gas sector in the UK and AEM in Milan, Italy where he led a major consultancy project introducing major technological change. Later he worked for 13 years in international telecommunications, with Mercury Communications Limited and Cable and Wireless, where he managed a global dispersed team and a series of outsourced contracts. He now specialises in organisational transformation and performance improvement, and has a strong delivery focus. John is adaptable and has excellent successful commercial, organisational and motivational skills, which he developed in small and large businesses. He applies general management expertise derived from working in the telecommunications, energy, utilities, health and government sectors. John is able to inspire others by supplying clear vision, direction and focus.
